Kevin D. Schroeder is Managing Partner
and co-founder of Portal Commerce & Logistics. Kevin has more
than a decade of experience living and working in Brazil and
Latin America. His areas of expertise include Brazilian fiscal
policy and financial sector reform, privatization and
public-private partnerships, and Brazilian transportation
infrastructure investment and development.
Kevin has
worked in Latin America and Africa as a consultant and academic
researcher conducting projects for clients and with
competitively-awarded research funding from the Ford Foundation,
the United States Agency for International Development, the
Tereza Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies, the
Institute for African Alternatives (IFAA-London), and the
University of Texas at Austin Department of Government.
Kevin received
his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University
of Tampa, his Master’s degree in International Relations from
Florida State University, holds a certificate of Latin American
Studies from the Tereza Lozano Long Institute of Latin American
Studies at the University of Texas at Austin, and from 2002 to
2006 Kevin was a Ph.D candidate (ABD) in the Department of
Government at the University of Texas at Austin. Kevin is also
an adjunct professor of Political Science at Quinnipiac
University and Southern Connecticut State University, where he
teaches courses in Latin American politics and Inter-American
affairs.
