Luis Mario Fujiwara joined Portal Commerce & Logistics in 2005 as a Senior Consultant and Director of Research specializing in economic impact analysis and transportation infrastructure development. For the past decade, Luis has served as consultant and academic researcher for clients in the public and private sectors including the Center for Transportation Research at the University of Texas at Austin, the World bank, the Population Research Center at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, the Public Management and Citizenship Program at the Getulio Vargas Foundation, the Ford Foundation, the Brazilian Ministry of Education, and the Brazilian state governments of São Paulo and Amapá. Luis is widely recognized as an expert in advanced public policy analysis and quantitative methodology and he has published nearly twenty scholarly articles concerning innovation in public policies at the state and municipal level of governance in Brazil, Indonesia, and the United States.

Luis Mario Fujiwara received his Bachelor of Arts in Public Affairs from the Paulista State University, and a Masters degree in Public Affairs from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation –São Paulo. He is currently a Ph.D candidate at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin.
